Boardroom Socks is excited to announce a December 2021 donation of hundreds of pairs of socks to Charlotte's Roof Above. Roof Above is a comprehensive homeless services provider working to end homelessness. The organization offers everything from street outreach and basic services to shelter and housing. Their services and programs reach over 1,200 individuals every day across multiple campuses throughout Charlotte.
"Most everyone can agree on how much of a difference a good pair of socks can mean for one’s feet. Imagine the difference this makes for an individual experiencing homelessness who find themselves spending an inordinate amount of time on their feet, walking to and from destinations. Quite frequently for someone experiencing homelessness, their transportation is their feet. A good, quality pair of socks can make all the difference in the world. That’s why we are so grateful to Boardroom Socks, Inc. for the recent generous donation of socks that will be distributed to the hundreds of folks we serve daily through our Day Services Center and Shelters for Men. An amazing gift of comfort and love!"
-Randall Hitt, VP of Engagement at Roof Above
As part of our commitment to the local community, we donate slightly imperfect socks, opened returns and other merchandise whenever possible. In addition to eliminating waste from our operations, these donations most importantly impact our community by helping those in need.
"Particularly during this time of year with the coldest months approaching, we are thrilled to be able to help Roof Above's mission to help those in need within our community. We look forward to a continued relationship and future donations."
